Director Letter

June 20, 2025

Dear Parents/Guardians and Sarah’s Staff,

We are writing to share an important update regarding leadership at Sarah’s Daycare Center, Inc.

After 36 years of dedicated service, fostering a safe and enriching environment for young children, Mr. Jody Aycock has decided to step back from daily operations. While he will no longer oversee day-to-day management, he will continue to support the center in his role as owner and financial manager. His ongoing commitment ensures Sarah’s remains a place where children thrive.

With that, we are delighted to introduce Sillia Nicholas as our new director. Many of you may know Sillia as the Lead Teacher in Room 4, a role she has excelled in for the past 23 years. Beyond the classroom, she has played a crucial role in operational management, licensing, and other key aspects of our center’s success.

Sillia brings a wealth of experience in early childhood education and childcare management, coupled with a deep dedication to creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments for young learners. We are confident that her leadership will guide Sarah’s into a bright future, continuing the legacy of care and excellence that has always defined our center.

We appreciate your support during this transition. Over the next few weeks, Mr. Aycock and Ms. Nicholas will be working closely together to ensure a seamless shift in leadership. During this time, we welcome any questions or concerns you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to support you and ensure this transition is as smooth as possible for our children, families, and staff.

Warmest regards,

Joseph W. Aycock , Owner

Sillia Nicholas, Director
